Contractor Growth AI brings together nearly four decades of hands-on home-service experience and more than two decades building websites, online businesses, lead systems, and automation.
Mike Wasdin understands the daily reality of earning local customers. Joe Mehm understands how to build the technology that helps a business get found, capture opportunities, and follow up more effectively.
A handyman business needs local visibility, qualified project requests, customer trust, fast responses, clear photos and scope details, useful follow-up, strong reviews, and a professional online presence that supports the business every day.
Those needs are where Mike’s operating experience and Joe’s technology experience overlap. Contractor Growth AI was created to bring the website, lead capture, AI customer help, Google Business Profile support, reviews, dashboard, hosting, and ongoing management into one practical system.
Mike’s experience in the home-service industry began in the window treatment business nearly four decades ago. Over the years, he owned and operated window covering companies in both Florida and Arizona, serving residential and commercial customers with blinds, shades, shutters, and other custom products.
That work taught him far more than window coverings. It taught him how a local service business really operates: finding customers, answering calls, providing estimates, scheduling appointments, performing the work, solving problems, collecting payments, earning reviews, and making sure another job is waiting when the current one is finished.
Mike entered the industry before Google, online reviews, smartphones, social media, and AI became part of the customer journey. He watched local marketing move from Yellow Pages, newspaper ads, direct mail, and referrals to search engines, websites, review profiles, forms, and immediate digital follow-up.
He learned websites and local digital marketing because his own companies needed them. That firsthand experience shaped a clear belief: excellent handyman businesses should not have to become full-time web designers, SEO specialists, software administrators, or AI experts just to keep their schedules full.
Joe has spent more than two decades building and operating websites and online businesses, including the long-running house-plan marketplace AmazingPlans.com, local-service and directory brands, lead-generation websites, and custom WordPress business tools.
His work has covered the parts that must connect for an online business to function: website design, content, search visibility, forms, lead routing, dashboards, communications, hosting, payments, reporting, automation, and the underlying software that keeps those pieces working together.
Joe’s focus with Contractor Growth AI is not technology for technology’s sake. It is creating a clear, managed workflow that helps a handyman business look professional, get found, capture better information, respond faster, organize opportunities, and see what needs attention next.
As AI became capable of doing meaningful business work, Joe began applying it to practical handyman needs—organizing owner-provided company information, producing coordinated website content, supporting customer questions, and reducing repetitive work that takes time away from customers and jobs.
Contractor Growth AI is not built from marketing theory alone, and it is not software created in isolation from the business owner who has to use it.

Customers still want someone they can trust. They still want their questions answered, their appointments respected, and the work completed well. AI should help the owner handle more of the repetitive work happening behind the scenes so there is more time for customers, employees, craftsmanship, and growth.
